As promised, to celebrate my “Goodbye Asia - Hello Europe Tour”, my 1st trip was to Krabi, Thailand.
August 9th is Singapore National Day, which I took advantage of by taking a longer weekend! Krabi is also the place where Marc and I encountered the worst Tsunami back in 2004. We were at Railay beach, where the famous Rayawadee Resort is situated.
I was there with 2 other friends from the gym, Chris and Diana. We stayed at this new hotel called La Playa which is so new that some of the rooms are still under construction.
For 5 days, we did nothing beside lazing around at the pristine beach or the nice and huge swimming pool. In the evening, we watch DVDs and eat as and when we feet like it!
Chris is still a growing boy at the age of 29. He has to eat and will wake up few times in the middle of the night just to eat! I am amazed at how he keep his body so nice still.. Both of them are tan-a-holics. Lots of sun-tanning oil, every half hour. I am on the other hand hide under whatever that will shade me from the sun and lots of SPF50 sun block! Despite my effort to run from Mr Sun, he seems to always be able to find me.
After 5 days in Paradise, we head on home back to Singapore where I have to be back at work tomorrow..
